Accessibility Statement
Effective date: June 1, 2026
Integrated Technology Solutions, LLC is committed to making SchoolCalendar Pro accessible to everyone who uses it, including people with disabilities. This statement describes the standards we work toward, the features we have built in, and how to reach us when something falls short.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as published by the W3C. These guidelines describe how to make web content more accessible to a wide range of users including those with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as a baseline, not a ceiling. Where we can do better, we do.
Features we have built in
The Service includes the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML — pages use headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone. Focus indicators are visible on every focusable control.
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet WCAG AA contrast thresholds against their backgrounds. Color is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Form labels and errors — every form field has an associated label; error messages are programmatically linked to the field that produced them.
- Modal and dialog handling — modals trap focus, are closable with the Escape key, and announce themselves to assistive technology.
- Responsive layout — pages reflow at narrow viewport widths so the Service is usable on phones and tablets and at increased zoom levels up to 200%.
- Skip-to-content patterns where appropriate on long pages.
Known limitations
We are actively working on:
- Calendar grid color contrast in extreme cases (some custom day-type colors set by users can produce lower-contrast backgrounds for the day cell). We are evaluating an automatic contrast check at color-pick time.
- PDF and Excel exports — generated reports are designed for visual layout and may not be fully screen-reader friendly. We aim to improve tagged-PDF support in a future release.
- Complex tables in some admin views — we are auditing these for proper header associations.
If you encounter a barrier we haven't listed, we want to hear about it.
Compatibility
SchoolCalendar Pro is tested with current versions of the following:
- Browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari on desktop and mobile.
- Screen readers: NVDA and VoiceOver as our primary test environments; we expect JAWS, TalkBack, and Orca to work as well.
- Operating systems: Windows 10/11, macOS, iOS, Android, and recent Linux distributions.
Feedback and contact
If something is hard to use or doesn't work for you, please tell us. We treat accessibility reports as priority issues.
When you contact us, please include:
- The page or feature where you encountered the problem
- A description of what you were trying to do
- The assistive technology, browser, and operating system you were using
We aim to acknowledge accessibility-related reports within five business days and to resolve confirmed issues as quickly as practical.
Assessments and updates
This statement reflects our current understanding of the Service's accessibility status. We conduct internal review whenever a major release introduces UI changes, and we plan to commission a third-party accessibility audit prior to general availability.
We will update this statement when we make significant changes to the Service that affect accessibility, when we receive feedback that prompts a meaningful change, and at least annually as part of routine review.
This statement is provided as a starting point. Districts with specific accessibility procurement requirements (such as a VPAT or ACR) should contact us at the address above.
